Bail Applications

A bail application (referred to as Release Application) is an application that the accused be released from custody, usually subject to a number of conditions.

Bail applications occur in the Local Court after an accused is arrested and charged by Police. If bail is refused by the Local Court, an application can be made to the Supreme Court of NSW.

Bail applications require careful preparation to maximise the prospects of success.
